Born in 1982 in Osaka, Japan, Ryosuke now lives and works in London. After studying at the Slade School of Fine Art, Ryosuke chose to focus on exploring the various binary positions such as painting and photography, mind and body, or abstraction and figure, which implies that ambivalence, or contradictory feelings and attitudes, is a recurring feature in today’s society.

Ryosuke Kondo’s current practice is primarily concerned with the relationship between nature and architecture.
