Through the years of her artistic career Stella has moved from single-layered to multi-layered and then to three dimensional creations, from academic realism to abstraction, expressionism and currently more conceptual forms of expression. In her lengthy investigation of the artistic expression the central subject of her work has remained the female body. By looking at the body as the “leaky channel of nonverbal information” she is trying to decode the body’s spontaneous cues and then communicate them through her work.

‘It is the universal language of our bodies that unconsciously reveals, I believe, our most sincere feelings, desires and fears’.
